Psalms 74:2-8

2 Remember Your congregation, which You ^apurchased of old,
Which You have ^bredeemed to be the ^ctribe of Your inheritance;
And this Mount ^dZion, where You have dwelt.
3 ^{▼▼Lit Lift Your footsteps}Step toward the ^{▼▼Lit ruins ruined for all time
,} ^girreparable ruins;
The enemy ^hhas damaged everything in the sanctuary.
4 Your adversaries have ⁱroared in the midst of Your meeting place;
They have set up their ^jown signs as ^ksigns.
5 It ^{▼▼Lit is known as}seems like one bringing up
His ^maxe into a ^{▼▼Lit thicket}forest of trees.
6 And now they break down ^{▼▼Lit altogether}all its ^pcarved work
With axe and hammers.
7 They have ^{▼▼Lit set on fire
,} ^rburned Your sanctuary ^{▼▼Or To the ground they...}to the ground;
They have ^tdefiled the dwelling place of Your name.
8 They ^usaid in their heart, “Let’s ^{▼▼Lit altogether}completely ^{▼▼Or oppress}subdue them.”
They have burned all the meeting places of God in the land.
